Maria Ferreira

Maria Nazare Ferreira 53 of New Bedford passed away Monday September 8, 2014, at home. She was the wife of the late Marcelo F. Dias and daughter of Jose and Maria A. (Costa) Ferreira of New Bedford. She was born in Portugal and had lived in this area for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Maria was formerly employed as a CNA/ Home health aide for Lifestream. Survivors include her parents; her son Phillip Dias, her daughter Vanessa Dias both of New Bedford; her brother Antonio L. Ferreira of New Bedford; her sisters Maria deFatima Sequeira of Portugal, Maria C. Santos of New Bedford, Ana Santo of Acushnet, Laura Cabral and Olga Moura both of New Bedford, her grandchildren Alexia Dias and Tyson Vertentes, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 5-8pm.
