Maria Justo

Maria deJesus (Moreno) Justo 86 formerly of New Bedford passed away Friday April 15, 2016 at the Village Green of Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Jose Justo Jr. and daughter of the late Domingos and Rosa (deJesus) Moreno. She was born in Serra Velha, Chaves, Portugal and had lived in Mt. Vernon, NY for 35 years and then in New Bedford for over 20 years before moving to Waterbury. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a dress maker and Jewelry maker in NY until her retirement. Survivors include her brother Domingos Fernandes DaSilva of CT. , her sister Luiza Fernandes of New Bedford also many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She was the sister of the late Jose Goncalves Moreno. Her funeral mass will be said 10:30am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are 5-8pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
