Maria C. “Connie” (Pereira) Perpetua 63 of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 12, 2012 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of Luis M. Perpetua and daughter of the late Jose Sabino Pereira and Maria (Soares) Pereira. She was born in St. Jorge, Velas, Acores and had lived in New Bedford for 42 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was a member of the N.B. Sports Club. Survivors include her sons Jose L. Perpetua and Carlos M. Perpetua both of New Bedford; her sister Ema DaSilva of New Bedford, also 3 sisters and 1 brother all in the Acores; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery
