Maria Pine

New Bedford Maria (Cabral) Pine 88 , affectionately known as “Maria dos Anjos Ti Jorge”, of New Bedford, passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at the Sacred Heart home. She was the widow of Joao Cabral and Luis Pine. She was also the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria deJesus (Silva) Cabral. She was born in Agua da Pau, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in this area for 50 years. Mrs. Pine was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. She was formerly employed at Cape Cod Sportswear as a stitcher until her retirement. Survivors include her son John Cabral and his wife Angelina of North Dartmouth; her daughter Carmen Sousa of New Bedford; her grandchildren Debbie Pacheco, Steven Cabral, Joseph Sousa, Jorge Sousa; her great granddaughters Nikki Sousa, Cheyenne Cabral, Blair Cabral and Raquel Sousa; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be held Wednesday 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home.Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
