Maria Roman

Maria Madelena Martinez (Diaz) Roman 74 of New Bedford passed away Monday June 8, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton. She was the wife of the late Miguel Angel Roman and daughter of the late Miguel Martinez and Feliciana Diaz. She was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico and had lived in New Bedford for many years. She was employed as a stitcher by various manufacturing companies including Riverside Manufacturing. Survivirs include her sons  Christino Hernandez, Jose Hernandez and Carlos Hernandez all of New Bedford; her daughters Carmen Hernandez of New Bedford and Rosa Hernandez of Westport. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm. Her funeral service will be held 10am Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
