Maria Santos

Mary (Costa) Santos 94 of New Bedford passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital on Wednesday February 6, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Jose Costa and Maria Prazers Costa. Maria was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts before returning to Portugal until 1964 in which she returned to her state of birth. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Immacuate Conception Church. Mary was a skilled stitcher who held many positions throughout her life. Survivors include her son Antonio DaCosta of New Bedford; daughter Ester Marques of New Bedford; brother Evaristo Costa of New Bedford; sisters Vivina Correia and Gracinda Costa both of New Bedford; six grandchild; several great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Monday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Visiting hours are Sunday evening from 6pm-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 233 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
