Maria J. Williams

Maria J. Williams, 91, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Melo and Liduina Sousa. She was the loving wife of the late Ephraim Lincoln Williams and the mother of a son, Michael E. Williams of New Bedford. Maria was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters and she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Maria was a stitcher for many years at Economy Blouse, Eastern Sportswear and Cliftex until she retired in 1997.

According to her wishes, Maria will be cremated and a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
