Orlando Pereira

Orlando Pereira, 75, of New Bedford, passed away Thursday December 9, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Maria (Pires) Pereira. He was born in Vila Pouca, Portugal to the late Jose Pereira and the late Nataldina (Ferreira) Pereira. He worked for the maintenance department at Bishop Stang High School for many years and he was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. He is survived by his wife, sons; Stephen Pereira of Lakeville and Jeffrey Pereira of Freetown, daughter, Charlene Pereira of New Bedford, sister, Paulina DaCosta of Acushnet, and 11 grandchildren. He was the father of the late Susan Pereira. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 13th at 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are kindly omitted. Per family request, please meet at the church.
