February 20, 1950 — August 21, 2010
Otilde (Pinheiro) Gomes 60 of New Bedford passed away Saturday August 21, 2010 at the Brigham and Women’s hospital. She was born in Portugal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. She was formerly employed in the garment industry as a seamstress. Mrs. Gomes was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Survivors include her daughter Lucia Pavao, her son Paulo Gomes both of New Bedford; her sisters Albina Sequeira of New Bedford, Prazeres Dias of New Bedford, Carma Cardosa, Lydia and Isabel of Portugal; her granddaughter Kayla Heart Pavao, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Tuesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will be Monday evening 5-7pm. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
