Paul George Jason, 82, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Hathaway Manor. Born in New Bedford, Paul was the son of the late George Jason and the late Olga (Moura) Jason and loving husband of 58 years to Maria (Barbosa) Jason.
Paul was an electrician by trade but his passion was cars. He was known for his lifelong interest in classic cars and spent many years restoring them with care and precision. He was an active member of the Prowler's Car Club, where he regularly participated in events and connected with others who shared his interests. He also enjoyed attending swap meets, where he looked for parts, tools, and projects to support his restoration work. He could often be found hanging out at Boots Auto Service Shop discussing all things cars. Outside of his automotive hobbies, Paul spent much of his free time saltwater fishing. He appreciated being on the water and took every opportunity to go whenever he could.
Paul was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served honorably during the Vietnam War.
