Richard Russek Jr. 57 of New Bedford passed away Saturday November 17, 2012 at St. Luke’s hospital. He was the husband of Barbara (Pombo) Russek and son of Richard and Eileen (Furtado) Russek Sr. of New Bedford. He was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Mr. Russek was employed by Crystal Ice as a refrigeration tech. Survivors include his wife, his parents, his sister Donna Rogers and her husband Richard of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews; his sister-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Dolores and Basil Grapsas, Priscilla Imbriglio and John Pombo. His funeral mass will be said 10 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8pm.
