Robert Cyr

Robert Cyr 77 of New Bedford passed away Friday April 17, 2015 at home. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Estrella) Cyr and son of the late Ovila and Estelle (Cathcart) Cyr. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Cyr was a self- employed painter. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Panthers Athletic & Social Club. Survivors include his grandchildren Jamie Lynn Konior, Michael W. Konior Jr., Robert Michael Konior and Brandin Gonsalves; his great-grandchildren Shyla Dias, Aliana Dias, Amari Dias, Michael W. Konior III, Brandin Gonsalves Jr. and Ryan Gonsalves; his daughter-in-law Mindy Briggs, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael W. Konior and brother of the late Maurice Cyr. At his request he will be cremated and his cremains will be buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
