Robert Mattos

Robert G. Mattos 69 of New Bedford passed away at home on Tuesday February 3, 2015. He was the husband of the late Donna (DaCosta) Mattos and son of the late Antone and Lenore (Casey) Mattos Sr. He was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Robert was formerly employed as the sales manager for Poirier Buick, GMC in Fall River, Chace Chevrolet in Middleborough and at George O’Hara Chevrolet and Cadillac in New Bedford. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Viet Nam. Robert was also a Yankees fan. Survivors include his brothers Daniel Mattos of New Bedford, Antone Mattos Jr. of New Bedford; his sister Antoinette Rivers of Florida; 2 nieces, 5 nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Lenore Correia and Eileen Murphy Sabino. His funeral service will be held 11:30 am Monday at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Visiting hours are Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in the Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne.
