Robert H Menard

Robert H Menard, 83 of New Bedford, passed away at home on Thursday, August 4th. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Joseph Armand Xavier Menard and late Marie Alice (Morin) Menard and husband of Gloria (Gadapee) Menard. Robert was a veteran of the U.S Army and worked many years in the construction industry before retiring. After retiring he took a job washing the buses at Tremblay's Bus Co. He enjoyed fishing, playing keno and cribbage with friends. Robert was always the life of the party and cherished spending time with family and friends. Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Christopher Menard and wife Victoria, Edward Gadapee and wife Kim; daughters, Tina Ledvina and husband Justin, Donna Pontes; brother, George Alves; sister, Linda Alves; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sons; Robert Uhrick, Albert Menard; daughter, Susan Uhrick; brothers, Paul Menard, Eugene Alves, Gerard "Jerry" Menard, Donald Menard, Wilfred Menard, Richard Alves-Carvalho; sisters, Lilian Menard and Celeste Menard. In accordance with his wishes, Robert will be cremated with private services.
