Rogerio Amaral 77 of New Bedford passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at St. Luke's hospital. He was the husband of Maria A. (Silva) Amaral and son of the late Manuel Victorino Amaral and Guiomar (Oliveira) Amaral. He was born in Velas, St. Jorge, Acores. Mr. amaral was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He was formerly employed as a master carpenter for GID in Boston until his retirement. He was a big fan of the Sporting Clube de Portugal. Survivors include his wife his son Roger Amaral, his daughter Bernardette Furtado both of New Bedford; his sisters Josephina Barcellos of St. Jorge, Analia Freitas of New Bedford and Guiomar Silveira of Acushnet; 5 grandchildren, Many nieces and nephews.
