Sandra Tavares

Sandra (Edmundson) Tavares, 73 of New Bedford, passed away on November 3, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of Bruce Tavares. Sandra was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all of her life. She was formerly employed as a secretary for the New Bedford School Department until her retirement. Survivors include her husband, her children, Crystal Tavares, Travis Tavares and Lisa Borden. Her grandchildren, Jacob Cruz and Keith Perry. She is also survived by a niece, Roberta Sylvia. She was the mother of the late Paul Cruz and Joseph Cruz. She was also grandmother of the late Holly Cruz. At her request she was cremated.
