Scott "Raiyn" Santos

Scott “Raiyn” James Santos 29 of New Bedford passed away Saturday February 23, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the son of Maria (Machado) Ventura and David M. Ventura and the biological son of Fernando Santos; the beloved grandson of the late Joao and Leotilde Machado & Manuel and Maria Santos. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. Raiyn loved music, writing poetry, playing the piano, watching horror movies and wrestling. Most of all he loved his New Life Church "family" and spending time with his family and friends, especially his "Mother Maria" Survivors include his mother and father, his brothers Christopher Santos and his wife Jacqueline of Middleboro, Randy Santos of New Bedford, David Ventura and wife Carrie Moore of Indiana. His sisters Amy Viegas and her husband Brian of South Dartmouth, Danielle Ventura-Alteri of Florida. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents David and Phyllis Ventura of Tiverton, RI and several nieces and nephews. His visiting hours are Friday evening from 6-8pm and his funeral service will be held at the funeral home 9am TUESDAY MARCH 5, 2019. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
