Sharon Ferreira

Sharon Ferreira 35 of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Sunday December 8, 2013. She was the wife of Andrew Backlund and daughter of Manuel Ferreira of New Bedford and the late Helen (Gonsalves) Ferreira. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed by Electrolux as a salesperson. Survivors include her husband; her father; her son Austin Backlund all of New Bedford; her sisters Elinor Ferreira and Rhonda Deitzler both of South Carolina; her paternal grandmother Ceceila Ferreira of Hyannis; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service with her cremated remains present will be held 4:30pm Saturday.
