Soo Hwan Chen

Soo Hwan "Swannee" Chen 34 of Lynn, formerly of New Bedford passed away June 16, 2017 at his home. He was the son of Young Chen and Sun Ja Kim. Swannee was born in New York, NY and was raised in New Bedford. He was formerly employed in the construction industry and also as a mechanical engineer for the Boston Development Group. Survivors include his father, his mother of Brooklyn, NY, his step father Sung Chang. His children Mason Lee Chen, Alexia Marie Braga and Jasmine Lee Chen, his sister Michelle Chen all of New Bedford. He is also survived by many cousins, family members and friends in New Bedford, Lynn and Revere. His visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday and his funeral service will held 10am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Acushnet Cemetery.
