Thomas Martin 66 of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Luke’s hospital. He was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Gillis) Martin. He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Martin was a self employed carpenter. Survivors include his son Shaun Martin of Georgia, his brothers Donald Martin of Vineyard Haven, Charles Martin of New Bedford, Robert Martin of New Bedford; his grandchildren Chad Martin, Max Martin and 1 great-grandson. His visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8pm with a prayer service at 6pm.In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated.
