Veronica Agrella

December 23, 1963 — May 16, 2014

Veronica Jane (White) Agrella 50 of New Bedford passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness on Friday May 16, 2014. She was the wife of Arthur Agrella and daughter of the late Frank D. and Carol P. (Hutchinson) White Jr. She was born in Norwood and lived in New Bedford for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was employed as a beautician at Super Cuts and Edwards in Canton. She was also a waitress at IHOP. Veronica was a graduate of Stoughton High School where was the captain of the swim team and played ice hockey. She was a lifeguard and swimming instructor at Ames Pond in Stoughton. She was a volunteer for the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, and avid reader and liked to work in her garden. Veronica loved to go to Brooklawn Park with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; her son Robert Carlson of Wareham; her daughter Cory Lynn Carlson also of Wareham; her step son Alan Agrella of Westport; her step daughters Cherie Wildrick of New Bedford and Michelle Agrella of East Freetown; her sisters Barbara Baker of Stoughton, Paula White of Stoughton, Patricia White of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; also her beloved dogs Primo and Titan. Her funeral mass will be said Tuesday at 9am at our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.S. Sacramento Scholarship Fund C/O Club Madeirense S.S. Sacramento 50 Madeira Ave. New Bedford, MA 02746. She will be cremated and the burial of her cremains will be private.
