Wayne Ponte

Wayne A. Ponte, 67, of New Bedford passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Debra (Amaral) Ponte. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Irene (Daigneault) Beahn. He was a Machine Operator for Joseph Abboud for many years. He is survived by his wife Debra, daughters; Kacy Scieszka and Kelly Cortes, grandchildren; Justus Ponte, Madison Ponte, Chloe LaRose, Hayden LaRose, Owen Scieszka, and Cameron Scieszka, and great-great children; Mae DaPonte and Ivy LaRose. He was the brother of the late Gail Ponte. A Memorial Service will be held for Wayne at the Boulevard Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19th from 6-8pm with prayers beginning at 6.
