Zenaide Pavao

Zenaide (Torres) Pavao, 92, of New Bedford, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at Carvalho Grove in Fall River. She was the widow of Joao Pavao and daughter of the late Francisco Jacintho Torres and the late Maria (Moniz Sabino) Torres. She was born in Achadina, St. Michael and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Zenaide was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was employed in the clothing manufacturing industry as a seamstress until her retirement. Zenaide loved to cook and being with her family. Survivors include her children, Antonio Pavao, Maria Manuela Pavao, Paula Stone and her husband Glenn; all of New Bedford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ian Stone, Paige Stone and Kyla Stone. She was the sister of the late Cornelio Torres, Jacintho Torres, Sofia Menisse and Teolinda Cardoso. Her services will be private.
