Edgar "Sparky" O'Neil, Jr.

Edgar E. "Sparky" O'Neil, Jr., 94, of New Bedford, passed away Tuesday, June 29th at home. He was born in Acushnet, MA, son of the late Edgar E. O'Neil, Sr. and Rose (Bibeau) O'Neil. He was the husband to Beatrice (Gelinas) O'Neil. He served as a Marine in World War II and then later worked as a tap grinder at Morse Cutting Tools. He is survived by his wife, daughters; Lynn Resendes, Lisa O'Neil, Susan York, Patricia Maciel, Karen O'Neil, and Dawn O'Neil; son; Kevin O'Neil, sister; Ruth Gomes, and several grandchildren. Burial of his cremains, with military honors, will be held , 11am on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Pine Grove Cemetery.
