Gladys DeSilva

Gladys (Almeida) DeSilva 82 of Acushnet passed away Friday February 22, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Emanuel DeSilva and daughter of the late Michael R. and Mary (Perry) Almeida. She was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of her life. Gladys was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven. She was employed by many different companies as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Survivors include her husband; her son Anthony DeSilva of Acushnet and her daughter Katherine Jose of Fairhaven. A funeral mass, with her cremated remains present, will be said 11am Tuesday March 5, 2019 at St, Mary’s Church in Fairhaven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
