Jorgina Umbelina

Jorgina Maria Umbelina, 65 of Marion passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2021. She was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal the daughter of the late Jose V. Umbelina and late Maria Gloria (Machado) Umbelina. Jorgina had an infectious spirit that instilled comfort and love, you would always find her smiling and laughing. She enjoyed spending quality time with her sister and listening to music. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff of Southeastern Residential Services and Beacon Hospice Care, for their thoughtful and expert care of Jorgina.  She is survived by her sister, Grace Resendes; her brother, Antone J. Viveiros; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother John M. Viveiros; Godmother, Jorgina Dias and Godfather, Jose Machado. Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 20th at 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 19th from 6pm to 8pm at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd New Bedford, MA 02746.
