Kenneth Daniels

July 9, 1934 — February 23, 2020

Kenneth H. Daniels, 85 of Acushnet passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Dorothy (Medeiros) Daniels and son of the late Clinton H. and Thelma (Wheeler) Daniels. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio and had lived in Acushnet for many years. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. He was formerly employed as a glazier for Glaser Glass for over 60 years. Kenneth was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy, on the USS IRWIN DD 794, for 4 years. He was also an Explorer Scout leader in New Bedford, Dartmouth and Acushnet. He was a member of the N.B. Track club for 45 years, receiving an achievement award, and he was on the N.B. Half Marathon committee, also the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Acushnet Track Club. Survivors include his wife, his children Matthew John Daniels and his wife Erinne of North Reading ,MA; Cynthia Chapper and her husband Lawrence of Andover, MA. His grandchildren, Nathen Chapper and Mira Daniels. His visiting hours are Friday, February 28, 4-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. A funeral mass, with his cremated remains present, will be said 10am, Saturday March 7 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. PLEASE do not get to the church before 9:45 am. There will be another mass going on. Thank you.
