Lorraine Rose

Lorraine (Despres) Rose, 77 of New Bedford, passed away at CareOne at New Bedford on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice Despres and wife of Arthur Rose. Lorraine worked many years as a Home Health Aid for Personal Touch and spent much her time volunteering at the St. Anthony of Padua Food Pantry. Some of her favorite things were  visiting the casino's with her sister, Lucille, spending time outside in the sun and sharing moments with her grand daughter, Kaylee and great grand daughter, Brielle. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Tracy Rose; brother Alfred Despres; sister, Lucille Silva; grand daughter, Kaylee Vincent; great grand daughter, Brielle; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jeannine Madeira. In accordance with her wishes Lorraine will be cremated and her Funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, January 25th at 10am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish (formerly St. Mary's Parish of New Bedford)
