Maria Patricio

Maria Jose (Pereira) Patricio 88 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday October 2, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joao Augusto Patricio and daughter of the late Antonio and Georgina (Sousa) Pereira. She was born in Funchal, Madeira and moved to Fall River in 1970, then came to New Bedford in 1980. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Survivors include her sons Jose Luis Patricio and his wife Maria Jose “Zeza” of Madeira and Joao Duarte Patricio and his wife Ines of Fall River; her daughter Delilah Patricio of New Bedford; her brother Carlos Pereira of Funchal; Daughter-in-law Kelly Patricio, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Arthur Patricio and sister of the late Jorge Pereira, Alberto Pereira, Antonio Pereira and Jose Pereira. Her funeral mass will be said 10:30am Tuesday October 8 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will be 9-10am before her mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
