Maria do Ceu (Martins) Costa 81 of New Bedford passed away Monday June 29, 2020 at Care One at New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Jose Maria Martins and the late Dulce (Santos) Martins. She was born in Mangualde, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1968. Maria was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a stitcher at Riverside Manufacturing until her retirement. Survivors include her son Jose Costa of Fall River, her daughter Maria Fatima Pacheco and her husband Valdomiro of New Bedford, her daughter Aida Ferry and her husband Randal of Dartmouth, her brother Filipe Martins of Mangualde, her grandchildren Derek Pacheco, Nathan Pacheco, Kyle Ferry, Garrett Ferry, Kendra Ferry, Bradley Costa and Benjamin Costa. Her great granddaughter Olivia Pacheco and expected great granddaughter Sophia Pacheco. She was the sister of the late Aida Albuquerque. Everyone is invited to attend her funeral mass, 10:30am, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.Burial will in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be private for her family. Arrangements are by the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Attendance at the church is limited to 95 people.
